Fun with FLARE!!!

My friend Gina (photo student from App. State) and I decided to takes some portraits of one another on July 4th! My goal was to play around with flare. Here are a couple that I liked from the photo shoot.

The Beauty of Light

This is a picture that I took back in my first semester of photography school. Not very many people have seen it because it never made the cut for my portfolio. But I still like to look at it and admire the light that is on the dam. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! This photo was taken with a medium format camera on TMAX 100 film.

Macular Dystrophy

Macular dystrophy is a rare genetic eye disorder that affects the central part of the retina. The macula is where we have our key central vision. So this is how we read, drive, etc. Those with macualr dystrophy have trouble doing these things becuase of this vision impairment.

This is a photo of a patients left eye that has macular dystrophy.
