I recently took a trip to NYC with my classmates to go to the Photo Expo. Here is a shot of a tree in Central Park. There will be more images to come!

Busy College Student

For an assignment in my Photojournalism class we had to come up with an image that showed the stressful life of a busy college student. For the setup I had my beautiful model, Sussanah Held lay on the floor and got a couple of friends to hold up a big piece of black mat board for the background. This is the image I came up with.

Shot with Canon 50D at1/25 sec. @ f/4 with ISO 500 @ 17mmLit with a Vivitar 285 bouncing off the ceiling.

Classy Shoes

F/11 @ 1/60

In my Product Lighting Class in Summer semester 2009 we were given an assignment to shoot a pair of shoes in the studio. I used a Speedtron pack with a Ferrel light. The Ferrel light was slightly slanted to allow the light to go across the shoes more. I shot this image with a Mamiya 645 on Kodak 160VC C-41 film.

Self-Portrait

For my digital imaging class I had to take a self-portrait. I found this project rather challenging because I rarely ever like a picture of myself unless its me making a goofy face. I was surprised to actually like one of them, here is what I came up with.

This image was shot with a Canon 50d and two halo lights one on the left and one on the right to evenly light myself. Shot at f16 @ 1/30 with an ISO of 200. Lighting and concept by Samantha McCaskill. Photo taken by Scarlet Jovin-Fisher.

A Low Perspective on Things

This picture was taken with medium format camera with TMax 100 film. It was taken at sunset, which gave it the mountain look in the background.
